Remembrance Day Parade 2011

This year’s Remembrance Day Parade will take place on Sunday 13th November 2011. Tickets to take part in the parade can be applied for via the SAMA (82) Office.

After the parade SAMA (82) have booked The Feathers Public House, 18 – 20 Broadway, Westminster, which is next door to The Falkland Islands Government Office. (Nearest Tube Station – St James’). It is a 5 minute walk from Horse Guards.

The meal will be ‘Sausage and Mash’ and tickets for the meal must be pre booked by sending a cheque for £6.50 per meal to the SAMA (82) Office. So, when you send your STAMPED SAE for your ticket to gain access to Horse Guards Parade to march, indicate how many meal tickets you will require and make any cheques payable to SAMA (82).

Trading Standards have recently taken a number of calls from members of the public who have been approached, either at home or by telephone, by individuals who claim they can help gain rebates or deductions in Council Tax.

The circumstances of the scam vary slightly across these reports, with most victims being told they have overpaid Council Tax and they should supply their bank details in order to receive a rebate
