Will Writing Service

2 Sep

SAMA Member Mark Hagyard is a partner ins Waddington Webber Solicitor, based in Keighley, West Yorkshire.

He is a SAMA Member having served with 42 CDO RM, leaving the services in 1986 and qualifying as a solicitor.  The firm has a specialist Will department.

He states:  “ Everyone should have a will and we are offering a discounted rate for your members (SAMA) of £75 plus VAT of which we will pay £5.00 to a registered charity of your choice.

If you don’t make a will your property in fact goes to your family or relatives in a descending order of priority fixed by law.  If you have no family or relatives it could well go to the government!

By making a will you can be certain that:

  • your property passes to the people of your choice
  • you decide who will be responsible for dealing with your property when you die.  Such persons are known as executors and you can name them in your will.  If you don’t make a will, any number of relatives or family members can apply to deal with your property
  • your property is dealt with in a tax advantageous way.  You can avoid or minimise inheritance tax by making a tax efficient will.
  • Nursing home charges can be minimised”.
