Fundraising Falklands Yomp

28 Jan

In February 2015, a group of businessmen and professionals are going to retrace the steps of 45 Commando in order to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund.   The ‘yompers’ are part of a group known as The April Fools Club who all support the RAF, 12 of whom will be undertaking the walk.

Planning for the event has taken 2 years which has looked at finding a safe route and suitable locations for camping, along with training and fundraising.

Monies raised are going towards the RAF Benevolent Fund project which is the creation of a new respite home comprising of two self-contained apartments for use by serving and retired force personnel and their families.
